Basildon's Racking Inspection Experts

Based in Basildon? We make pallet racking inspection incredibly quickly and simple!

Working across Basildon, Essex and London, we offer planned expert pallet racking inspection services to industrial and commercial clients across the South East. In fact, pallet racking inspections should be an essential part of your warehouse or factory health and safety policy.

With large scale storage systems increasing safety risks if they're not professionally fitted and maintained and pallet racking occasionally suffering damage from a fork lift collision or installation faults, it's vital that you ensure that your pallet racking is safe and secure afterwards.

Acorn Storage Team Next to Van

During every inspection project, we meet all SEMA inspection standards to ensure that the industrial pallet racking is still fit with purpose and advising on reparations or replacement where needed.

In fact, periodic checks are now essential to comply with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998. It's also advisable to make sure that these checks should not be limited to six month periods if damage is sustained from falling stock or other equipment or a collision with a forklift occurs.

So call us today on 01634 296927 to arrange for one of our experienced and dedicated team to visit your Basildon premises and carry out a comprehensive pallet racking inspection

As one of Basildon's leading suppliers and installers of both used and new pallet racking equipment, we are also able to provide those replacements quickly and at very competitive prices, making sure that your disruption and downtime is as limited as possible.

Independent Racking Inspections

Due to the very busy nature of a factory or warehouse environment, pallet racking can occasionally suffer damage from forklift trucks and pump trucks from time to time.

While most bangs and knocks may seem minor, they can often have a cumulative effect on the structural integrity of the pallet racking, especially if the racking is overloaded. In order to maintain the health and safety of your workers and to avoid expensive damage to stock, pallet racking and storage needs to be monitored with regular checks and inspections by a technically competent person.

A safety inspection of your adjustable pallet racking is required under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Regular racking inspection also fulfils your obligations under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, as well as the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.

Following your extensive racking inspection, you will receive a comprehensive report that can be used as an audit to check the condition of equipment for health and safety purposes.

By following the report's suggestions, you will be easily able to keep your pallet racking to a legally acceptable standard. For some companies, an annual racking inspection report by a suitably qualified inspector will be required in order to comply with insurance demands.

All our inspections are carried out in accordance with the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) Code of Practice.  These can be carried out by an external racking inspector who is able to give an independent assessment of the racking.  If repairs are needed, Acorn Storage Equipment are able to supply new or used replacement items and offer a full repair service from our team of SIERS registered installers.

Based in the South East, we work across Basildon and Essex, providing the very best in pallet racking inspections to commercial and industrial clients throughout the region. We offer one off racking inspections or regular planned inspections as required. For costs and a visit from one of our inspectors please contact us.
